I Ovulated

Fertility Friend gave me crosshairs after I entered this mornings temp. They say I ovulated on CD 15. If that is true out timing was great this cycle. I hope it's true.
*does a happy dance*

Fertility Friend confuses me. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it chose day 15 over day 16 but I don't really care. Either day is fine. As long as it doesn't change in the next few days I am happy.

Also, I think the cover line is too low. I would have personally made it higher as it looks like I have a ton of temps above the coverline pre ovulation. hmmmm. It's kinda of nice though as I might not stress as much if my temp drops below 97.9.

So that's it. I am officially 3dpo today. In the 2 week wait. The hard part is over and now I can relax a bit until testing time. I think I will start testing at 10dpo which is one week from today !

  1. You need to do the FF charting course: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/courses/ All the grand mysteries of how it works are revealed within there...

Essentially, it has chosen CD15 instead of CD16 because it is the day after your last positive OPK and CD14 was the last time you recorded fertile CM. It seems to place a lot of weight on fertile CM these days, although this hasn't always been the case. To be honest I think either CD14 or CD15. What you may have experienced is a fallback rise pattern. Essentially there is a bit of an oestrogen dump somehwere between 1 and 4 DPO which causes (for some women) a temporary dip. Does it matter which day? No, not really, just something to keep in mind if you are an early tester. :-)

As far as the coverline... that's no big deal either. It doesn't represent anything specific other than a visual tool for seperating your pre and post ovulatory temps. Looking at the overall picture you'll be able to tell if things are trending down towards the end.

  6. Yay! *happy dance* Good luck this cycle! And ITA with Green Sprout, the coverline is more of a visual tool. It might even change as your temps change. Good luck!
